Book was great, way too short though.
Very well through out action and adventure story for Murderbot. I like how we continue to get peeks into his psyche and motivations and learn more about what makes him tick. And what can make him stop ticking too... We find out he is still a bot but a very complex thinking and feeling box that doesn't want to be human, but might become a little more human every day. Nice story!

Maybe that was why I had been nervous about meeting Mensah again, and not all the other dumb reasons I had come up with. I hadn’t been afraid that she wasn’t my friend, I had been afraid that she was, and what it did to me.
The band is back together. I really like the way this fourth novella comes back around back to the Preservation Alliance folks that the books started with. It's fun to see Murderbot with the same people and in a similar protection role, but having a lot more agency.
Pin-Lee groaned and rubbed her face. "I'm almost glad you're here."
This is minor, but Pin-Lee also has some amazing moments here and finally gets to pull out her scary lawyering. I love the combination of how both angry at and yet how also protective of Murderbot she is.

still as good as the first time, now as graphicaudio recording.
Murderbot makes new enemies and finds old friends. Another quick read and entertaining episode in the Murderbot series.
I just don’t get tired of Murderbot as a character. Plus, now that the world building and characters are more established, it’s easier to follow the plot, which was something I found a little difficult in the first two books. I cannot wait to keep reading this series!
3.5
aaand we continue on with my favorite murderbot and this one was more emotive than the other books, i'm just so happy for it !

A reunion with the characters from the first book & a satisfying conclusion that is still left open for sequels (which indeed there are).
The fourth in a series of short stories. Not sure what you expect but I can tell you it won’t be that. Great entertaining series and would love to see more of them in the future.

I found this installment to be a bit drier than previous installments.
This series is a wild ride which I got hooked into from the first book. Murderbot is a character you can really get under the skin of if you're as sarcastic as I am.
Highly recommend getting all four books up front, you'll be reading them all!

The final Murderbot novella comes full circle as Murderbot meets up again with the team that started it all in the first novella. Our soap opera addicted SecUnit bot has valuable information about the GrayCris corporation and their illegal activities, and in response they have kidnapped Dr. Mensah, the hippie-vibes scientist who let Murderbot go despite knowing it had hacked its governor module. Of course Murderbot has to go and rescue the humans it feels responsible for.
Well rounded finale, all in all super-enjoyable. My only complaint is possibly that the worldbuilding is not in-depth enough for me. I want to know about this galaxy and power structures. Would be happy to read more in this setting.
Good to see some characters return, but eh...
I was excited for the latest Murderbot novella and it didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed watching Murderbot be hyper competent and recklessly throw itself to the defense of humans it can't admit that it likes. Looking forward to the novel.
