I’ll read almost anything from any genre if the story or topic sounds interesting.

Mostly enjoy fantasy, history of all kinds, science, science fiction, self-improvement (time management, note-taking, etc.), technology and especially love books about the history of books, printing, languages, and the anthropology behind them.

I often write scripts that run on Macs and like to include interesting quotes from what I read as Easter eggs.

“I’m not so sure he’s mad, Father. Just a little devious in his sanity.”

Paulo Coelho, Margaret Jull Costa: Maktub (Hardcover, 2024, HarperCollins Publishers) 1 star

AN ESSENTIAL COMPANION TO THE INSPIRATIONAL CLASSIC THE ALCHEMIST, FILLED WITH TIMELESS STORIES OF REFLECTION …

I was expecting a story or stories similar to The Alchemist. But this is a collection of fables originally written for a daily newspaper column. Religious. Not for me.
