By using breath and drawing upon the color in everyday objects, all manner of miracles and mischief can be accomplished. It will take considerable quantities of each to resolve all the challenges facing Vivenna and Siri, princesses of Idris; Susebron the God King; Lightsong, reluctant god of bravery, and mysterious Vasher, the Warbreaker.
It is funny that the most colorful place of Sanderson's worlds is where the darkest story occurs.

I would lean more to 3.5 stars. It was a good read, but felt it lacked the level of worldbuilding that Sanderson is known for. Many thinks we're picked up along the way, but that just left you in a slight state of confusion for a bit. Would still recommend, it's a good read.

Ce roman est assez surprenant :on y voir deux princesses évoluer de façon contraire, une forme de magie curieuse et néanmoins terrifiante, des rescucités par dizaines, des complots aussi complexes que vains.
Bref, beaucoup de choses au service de ce qui se veut, à mon avis être un authentique moment de divertissement.
Cela dit, il ne faut pas chercher un sens plus profond dans cette histoire. Car si cette magie du souffle pourrait amener les personnages à s'interroger sur la nature de l'âme, cette interrogation est rapidement évacuée au profit de complots aussi complexes qu'inutiles.
Je ne suis pas vraiment certain de retrouver autant de plaisir lors d'une relecture, mais pour une lecture "simple", c'était très bien.
