How do you follow up a book like Ready Player One?

Easy. You don't.

Ignore the haters. This is a great stand alone book. It is not an Enders game clone, it's not another ready player one it is a stand alone fun little romp through arcade and scifi history with a fun plot twist.

Is actual call this a 4.5 rating of I could. The book was great, it has a fairly common plot, but Cline acknowledges this through the book and puts his own spin. It was one of those stories I couldn't put down. But the ending was very weak. It was written in an in-between state of "ending the story" and "gearing for a sequel". It was like Clone couldn't decide if he wanted to write a sequel or not and therefore the story comes to a conclusion but also leaves questions the reader asks throughout the book unanswered. With that said, I really enjoyed the read.
