i think i love this book, which is... strange: i've read throuhg robinson's mars trilogy and aurora, and while i liked those, the were kind of bordering dull: too distant, too... mechanical. new york 2140 is more personal, humane, non-robinson. it has even reminded me of stephenson's zodiac ! love it, can't recommend it enough.

непогано! так, літературно це десь на рівні фанфіку, але сюжет захоплює, і автору дивним чином вдалося вловити саме той темп, ракурс, тощо, щоби не відпускати читача до самої розв'язки! хочу ще кена годдарда!

i don't know why this has been such a painfully long, boring experience for me; should have been exciting, it's a neo-syberpunk with a detective story plot, after all? but there you have it: boring :-/

rather 4/5 than 3/5, although it's not «expanse»...

not scientifically, but even fictionally it's so unrealistic as to border with absurd — and yet so dynamic, lively and enjoyable?! reading this was like watching some of the best episodes of «star trek», in a way.

interesting (hardly new, but still quite interesting) idea, butchered by the typical «ya» writing: endless intenal monologs (even dialogs seem like monologs here). and what's with this «f» word all over the text? why? what for?dear «ya» authors, you just can't use curses to build tension, it doesn't work that way in a text :-) it's actually the othe way around: you have to build tension with other literary tools for a curse to be naturally inserted if you need it. most times you really don't though.
