Fading Suns is probably my favorite "kitchen sink" #ttrpg setting. You can take pretty much any adventure, any story, from any genre - and make it fit the setting somehow. I can't think of any other setting that has this sheer breadth of possibilities.
@juergen_hubert That's interesting. I was rather, OK what do I play with this? The book explains its world in a matter of fact style which poses a barrier there. There is never an indication where you are supposed to plug your own stuff.

@holothuroid@rollenspiel.social To my perception, the setting played very deliberate homage to history, fantasy, horror, science fiction and a whole bunch of other things and elements. Inserting stuff from other sources thus seemed like an obvious fit.
