Another banger from CJ.
I'm actually reading this and the fourth out of the collected edition but I want the credit for reading two books!!
I like science fiction, science fact, situated feminisms, and speculative fabulations.

14% complete! Andy has read 5 of 35 books.
The only thing I didn't like about this book was that Norton wrote the relationship between two of the triplets in the same way she wrote their parents. I was convinced they were gonna smash by the end of this. I guess there's still time bc I'll probably read the next book lmaooo
Bearbeitete Neuausgabe
This should be a 4-star. I liked the characters, I liked the adventure, I liked the writing. But it was just so awkwardly Orientalist. White British lady writing this was...
Fascinating method and ethnography.
Another book where the author is only radical re: one very specific topic. How about public pleasure AGAINST class???
"Don't shoot; I'm a white man."
I hate that ERB is fairly successful at writing (bad) adventure novels because his racism ruins it every time! Like, this could have just been a story about a guy finding an island lost in time, but no it is evident that ERB seriously thought Polynesians were savages jfc!!!
So it's like 1.5 stars but no this book is not "okay."
