2025-10-26 How culturally diverse do your casts tend to be?

We're a group of white cis writers, but our process includes going through and checking that our pictures don't just show white people, that all the sexes and genders available are either covered, or not actively erased*, that different outlooks within cultures are seen, &c. We show a lot of cultures and they are not all Generic Fantasy West.

* if we can't fit someone in, we may write a bit about why

2025-10-29 Do you include elements of the horror genre in your (non-horror) work?

There's always the chance that Chaos is around, and I really do like to make people go 'squick' in a safe way. Scorpion-centaur toddlers are the current front runner. It wasn't a horror game, but the opponents were horrific.

2025-10-30 Do you tend to include epilogues?

No, but I have an aftermath and a list of further plot hooks, so Gamemasters know how to wrap up and where to go next. RPGs are a serial fiction, so you need a next step, and I like to sketch it out for the person doing the work of running the game.

Just received CHA4037 Lands of Runequest: Dragon Pass.

Its cover illustration has a strong Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West vibe. Purely coincidence that's the game I've been playing in the past few weeks

I guess Aloy is a Vingan, anyway.

The finished albeit without the tower. Should do for a one-off session (six weeks work, that is) lulz. 😆 I'll get pictures with in play when I run the session on Saturday. I just need to get some minis finished and add some more features to the tower. Overall, I'm pretty pleased.

In my quest to flesh out my 2 material, I've just ordered the POD softcover of RQ2 from Chaosium. My intent in the coming weeks is to also buy Pavis and Big Rubble (I don't have these), Cults of Prax (currently have as a reprint in the Moon Design Publications book from 1999), Cults of Terror (only have the 1999 reprint), Apple Lane, Snakepipe Hollow, Borderlands, and Trollpak. I have some of this stuff in the 1999 big book reprints, but I'd prefer POD copies for ease.

I supported the Kickstarter for the "Guide to #Glorantha ", and at the moment, I am finally trying to immerse myself in this setting. While my reading is currently on hold, I'm sure I will return to this soon. #ttrpg #RuneQuest

is well known for its deep and intricate mythology... and now it has a book entirely dedicated to this topic! Let's look at the new Cults of : Mythology book, in depth. https://godlearners.com/review-cults-of-runequest-mythology/

The Ram and Warrior faces Death. Yanafal Tarnils, guided by the Red Goddess, prepares to face Humakt in battle and become the Lunar War God. Picture by Katrin Dirim.

There's an explosion of graphic creativity with : that never ceases to amaze me ! And I'm particularly fond of Katrin Dirim's art. It's intricate, full of symbolic details and captures a feeling of what antique art's vibrancy could have been. Wonderful.
