A #fantasy where mental health takes centre stage! Shallan's dissociative disorder is particularly well done. Solid fare as usual, with some interesting sciencing, though the cosmic machinations are overly obscure. Very inefficient at 1200 pages.

A slog of a read, it was just so big. But a great addition to the series.
I wanted to rate this higher, but honestly I’m beginning to get lost in this story...and not in a good way. The writing is as fantastic as ever, but there is beginning to be too many characters to keep up with. Additionally, there’s not a ton of story movement in this one. The story continues to evolve Shalan, but other characters appear to be in a circular run of development. Oh well...
Too bad we'll have to wait a few years for the sequel.
There will always be a few reproaches I could do to the story. But I'll have to see how this ends (at least the fist arc) to see if some lengths or weird choices were relevant.
From start to end this is by far the best of the books based in roshar. There is a bunch of lore in each page, and very epic moments.
