I really loved it...
I was skeptical at first (I've been burned too many times by boring and tropey fantasy novels that so many people love) but V. E. Schwab reeled me in with some gritty and edgy fantasy that felt really "real" to me.
I was so immersed in the world that I was tearing up by the end of the book which doesn't happen to me very often (one character's arc really spoke to me)
I can't wait to read the rest of novels in this series, here's hoping that they're just as good as this one if not better.

Even I didn't know at first I got hooked with the main characters and the possibilities the world(s) the author created, is an fast and easy read (even though it took me a while). I can easily recommend this to anyone how likes fantasy novels, but I'm gonna wait until I read the entire saga, the next book is already on its way.

Pretty good, I'll admit I waffled on giving this a 4, but I think it lacked something I can't put my finger on. Enjoyed the characters, and the story. Felt Lila was a bit too over the top, but liked her none the less. It was definitely interesting enough to continue the series.
