Few books have captivated the imagination and won the devotion and praise of readers and critics everywhere as has George R. R. Martin’s monumental epic cycle of high fantasy. Now, in A Feast for Crows, Martin delivers the long-awaited fourth book of his landmark series, as a kingdom torn asunder finds itself at last on the brink of peace . . . only to be launched on an even more terrifying course of destruction.

It seems too good to be true. After centuries of bitter strife and fatal treachery, the seven powers dividing the land have decimated one another into an uneasy truce. Or so it appears. . . . Setup, setup, setup. This book doesn't serve to move the great plot of A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE forward very much. Here are some new characters you won't here of again until the end of the book. This book in the series was not really what I expected nor wanted... I'm disappointed that after the pure genius of the first three novels that the fourth was so anti-climatic. Of course, I have to admit that this is most probably due to the fact that I read the entire series in one fell swoop. Had I been forced to wait for several years for A feast of Crows to come about I would have been ready, willing, and excited to read anything to do with this series.

Saying all of that, however, I am still waiting on pins and needles for the next book to arrive!
