Hard to review. What I loved about Clines in 14 and The Fold was how well he handled a large cast of characters, and being that this is an early story of his... I see that skill was leaned rather than inherent. Will probably still read the other novels because it is a good break from my normal fair, but I hope it picks up or I will have to put this series down.
