I enjoyed the world and plot, but could have done without the Romance aspect of the book. (This is true of any book that has a focus on romance, not specific to this book.) It only took me 3 days to read, so that's a plus.

I'm not sure any plot events in the book can count as twists. It seemed to be setting up for a sequel, which would hopefully have more surprises.

Unfortunately, I don't think this book will stick in my head enough to wait for the sequel, but we'll see.

This is probably in my "brain candy" category of books.
