This one was one of the best ones in the series so far. Nice, self-contained story. Interesting characters with lots of funny plays on stereotypes, combined with references to the real world.

A real page turner. Admittedly not as good as The Martian or Project Hail Mary, but still a very engaging story. I don't know why, but Weir's style of writing really clicks with me. I didn't need to re-read sentences several times like I sometimes have to do with other authors that want to write things in a clever way. I prefer the language to be clear and the story intricate; not the other way around.

Nice short story. Very good at atmosphere creation. This is my first introduction into Lovecraft. I've been wanting to read his work for a long time. It's crazy to think it's been written about a century ago. It doesn't feel that old (part from the use of certain words that are no longer acceptable).
