Got some good bones...but...

Seems like I have either seen or heard at least some part of this story before. But it's has some good bones, but is also so wildly un-believable that it's just hard to get past sometimes. You know what it kind of reminds me of. 1964 film based on H.G. Wells Novella The First Men in the Moon. (That book is on my list of books I would like to read.)
