LeRoy Miller started reading Hooded Detective - January 1942 by G.T. Fleming-Roberts
Listening to six audio stories.
Candidate for a Coffin, One Hundred Bucks for a stiff, Death is Deaf, Three Guesses, The Cop was a coward, The Strange Case of William Long: A true case detective short, A Dinner Date with Murder, and Artistic Murders Misfire: A true case detective short.
Finished "One Hundred Bucks for a stiff" this afternoon, and going to start on Candidate for a coffin tomorrow. Maybe I'll be able to listen to all this tomorrow.
One Hundred Bucks for a stiff was a pretty good story, thou I have to admit it I didn't expect who the murder was, but I followed the logic, and how they came to the conclusions. I think it has some of the same problems that other detective stories (TV Shows, etc) have, The lead "detective" seems to have knowledge that the rest of the readers (viewers) don't have. But it was a good short story, and a good story to start with.
