intothebeans reviewed The Hot Zone by Richard Preston (Dark Biology, #1)
A cinematic read
4 stars
I found this book hard to put down. The way the story is told is very cinematic with a good balance of personal details, scientific information, and broader story beats. If you are interested in the topic, I very much recommend. Although the events it describes are real events, I would treat the book as a "based on a true story" narrative. For a more objective or historical overview, I would look elsewhere.
