Margaret Atwood: Morning in the burned house (1995, McClelland & Stewart) 3 stars

Review of 'Morning in the burned house' on 'Goodreads'

2 stars

I don't read a lot of poems, nothing wrong with Atwood here. There were a few lines that made me tingle, a couple of poems that made me pause. Nothing too extraordinary. I have to say, I enjoyed the poems about her father the most.

First: You came back into the room/where you've been living/all along.
Last: Incandescent.

How much longer can I get away/with being so fucking cute?/Not much longer.
