Might be my new favourite yuri manga
5 stars
I'm a music lover, so I ate this up. I've always been particular about my music tastes, and have felt alienated at times from my peers growing up. Funnily enough, the main character listens to Western rock bands which causes her to feel left out. Growing up, I listened to Japanese rock bands while living in the West. As for the bands the main characters like can certainly be... A choice, most of them are classics that are hard to dispute as at the very least "good." It's so sweet to see the main character and her love interest bonding over their shared interest in music.
The art style is so cool. It does well with the alternative rock fashion that some of the characters sport. It's also incredibly unique in that it seems to have some more Western sensibilities, too. I totally buy Mitsuki's androgynous look, and I could see it playing out in real life too.
Anyway, I'm hooked.
