I agree with the reviewers who say the prose is unnecessarily flowery and verbose, but most of the text is so interesting that it doesn't matter. (I'm predisposed to excuse the verbosity anyway, as anyone who's read my own writing can attest.)

Overall, this is a highly entertaining read. While I took issue with the layout (omitting the photo pages from the book's flow was an odd choice) and the editing (which let slip more and more errors as the text progressed), it's definitely worth reading. Tons of funny little stories come to light throughout.

Full of facts, but it is definitely an academic text. The inclusion of many organizational charts depicting the change in structure over the years is the sort of thing that serves a purpose only if one is really researching the topic, rather than simply reading for curiosity's sake.
