Another masterpiece of writing from Deborah Harkness that pulls you back into the world first experienced in the wonderful All Souls Trilogy.

You learn so much about the life of Marcus in Time's Convert both in the present day and the past and I loved every minute of it. He was intriguing in the first three books and I, like so many others I imagine, had wanted what made Marcus become the man he is - and Time's Convert succeeded in so many ways.

The transition from warm-blooded to vampire for Phoebe is fascinating and somewhat gruesome at times (and why would it not be) and I liked the comparison to that of a baby being born and developing their knowledge and understanding of basic needs. It's a new and original idea and one that makes sense.. Although Phoebe 's childlike petulance irritated me, that too made sense and I loved how I as the reader experienced a multitude of emotions reading their stories alongside that of the new parents in Matthew and Diana.

A wonderful read that has me hungry for more.
