I was lured in because I thought this series was going to be wlw. Very sadly, it is not, though the empress and her attendant have a GREAT dynamic which has soooo much potential as a romance series. It's still good anyway and the dynamic with the real love interest IS also good. just. wow. devoted knight x lonely empress would have been so good.
