It was really interesting to read this through Dracula Daily over such a long time, I really liked that format. On the book itself: It definitely had some cool gothic horror aspects and it was interesting to read this foundational work but for me it was tainted quite a lot because of its heavy religious and patriarchal themes

Note: if you wanna read a foundational vampire novel I would recommend 'Carmilla' instead. I enjoyed the plot more and has an obvious queer reading which is definitely a plus xD
