I'm a sucker for Stephen King. His world building is phenomenal and this book is no exception. There's a few phases in this one - the setup, the aftermath, the twisty redirect - all peppered with flashbacks to formative experiences for the titular character. Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of the cartoonishly evil villain - the ending got me. Genuinely had a tear in my eye...even though you could see it coming a mile off. Really enjoyable throughout - good non-horror King.
