V. E. Schwab: A Conjuring of Light (2017)

Witness the fate of beloved heroes--and enemies.

THE BALANCE OF POWER HAS FINALLY TIPPED....

Potential not fulfilled

As the second book in the trilogy was mostly concerned with the wizardry tournament (which has basically zero pay-off in this final book) a lot of story and character development is crammed into this one. Too much probably so that a lot of it remains superficial or comes off as a bit too conveniently construed. Overall, it was a frustrating read. Too bad, the first book promised a lot of potential for the series. I wouldn't recommend it.
