Review of 'The Jennifer Morgue' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

A little more "Bond" and a little less "sci-fi" than its predecessor, The Jennifer Morgue continues the Lovecraftian secret agent adventures of Bob. I enjoyed the short story that followed the main story within the book (because it was ZERO Bond and all sci-fi), and was disappointed that it was so short. As long as the next book borrows less heavily from a standard James Bond film and steers back towards geeky crime mystery and adventure territory, I'll be very pleased. And if it doesn't, I'll still keep reading.
