Another day, another "it's , it doesn't need to be realistic!" argument. Therefore, another canned reply.

The first word in " " is "science." As both a scientist and writer, I really appreciate it when writers put as much thought into making their work as credible as possible, and try to do the same in my own. Break whatever rules you need to tell the story you want (faster-than-light travel, that can cross-breed with humans, whatever) but don't ask readers to *unnecessarily* suspend their disbelief.

Or as the saying goes in fantasy, "If you want me to believe in , get the right."

... now I suppose I should really get back to either writing science fiction or doing science, because deadlines are absolutely part of the here-and-now.

Last month when I bought filament, I found that the rolls were made out of cardboard now - and the center hole is a difference size. So they didn't really fit well on my setup.
I found a set of hole adapters that after a little messing with the diameter of the middle ring will work pretty well. Now If I would have only printed these before I printed the I probably would have saved myself some aggravation.

To save me from going completely crazy, I printed a few of these little Cali-Dragons that grand kid number 2 said she also wanted.....she didn't tell me how many, but these are fast to print - so if she decides she wants a few more - no problem.

The one thing I have learned about my printer is, after about 12 hours or so I really need to stop and give it a rest.

So these cali-dragons are good for a break.

I'm up to 13 dragons, done... plus 3 (That the other grand kid snagged) And one that failed....so I would almost be done with this ... ... but.... no I am still working.

Plus, I just found out grand kid number 2 - needs 21 dragons, and grand kid number 1 said she also wants more dragons.

I don't think I'll ever be done with printing dragons.

There be dragons here.... This is going to take a while.....

20 dragons, plus 2 -
So the print failed on the Ender 3 not because of the filament, but the hot end started saying it detected low temps again. I thought I had that fixed...but here we are again.

The "Rainbow" PLA is printing really neat dragons thou....here are the 5 I've gotten so far.

Richard Kühnau: Schlesische Sagen 2 - Elben-, Dämonen- und Teufelsagen (1911, B.G. Teubner) No rating

On one rainy day, a girl from the village walked through the grain field, and discovered a small chicken which was entirely wet. She took pity on the little animal, and took it with her.

When she had brought it home, it started to vomit grain, and in this manner it spat out several sack-full of grains. This was the [above-mentioned] dragon, which was flying through the air at night and was trailing a fiery shine behind it.

I knew that #dragons could take on all sorts of forms in #folklore .

But I have to admit that I did not have "grain-spitting #chicken " on my bingo card...

I've started E. M. Anderson's The Remarkable Retirement of Edna Fisher , and I already love Edna so much, I sneaked at the end, if she will be still around. The older I get, the less I like getting my heroes killed.
