1/24 What's a work of science fiction that you love? What do you love about it?

Anne McCaffrey's Pern.

No, if you have read the entire series, you know it's not fantasy. It is, in fact, Science Fiction.

Pern got me into good dragons for real. The stories were my comfort reads during my exchange year in California.

Pern actually stands for "Parallels Earth, Resources Negligible".

8/9. If you needed advice about your personal life, which character would you ask?

Sidren, of Dragon Prey.

She's the oldest of my chars, she has lived through hard times, she has finally found love in what is her old age.

I would think she had the most wisdom to dispense.

7/29 Why do you like your genre/style(s)?

I love fantasy - there is something in the power of magic and all those amazing creatures that draws me in. It's fun and fascinating.

Yet all that power means little if you wield it for evil, if you don't have the character to use it wisely.

In more mundane terms, it also means less research as I make up my worlds. (Although I take notes as not to contradict myself.)

7/25 Who's the hardest character you've ever written and why?

I believe that's Marik, the MC of Dragon Pawn (that I still need to finish).

He lost everything when the firebeasts invaded the continent he lived on - and that was a lot. He was the heir of the chieftain, after all.

And so he tried to save the remaining members of his tribe, losing them one after the other. The story is about finding new hope and rebuilding.

Just can't afford the cover.
