Hurray! Another San Francisco bookstore is following Booksmith's example and pulling Harry Potter books.
From the SF Chronicle:
Fabulosa Books followed suit on Wednesday, June 25.
The queer Castro bookstore shared a picture of a whiteboard to its Instagram account with the message, âWe are no longer buying + selling books by J.K. Rowling as she is devoting her life to nastiness.â
The caption thanks Booksmith for âsetting a good example.â

"When the author of a book states that all sales of those books will contribute to an anti-trans fund, the only way we can choose not to participate is by not selling the books any longer. "

"STEPHEN Fry has said JK Rowling has been 'radicalised by TERFs' as he hit out at the Harry Potter authorâs 'cruel' comments about transgender people.
The TV presenter and comic described the bestselling writer, whose net worth reportedly stands at ÂŁ945 million, as a 'lost cause' because of her views.
Fry has historically been wary of wading into the transgender debate but has now come out to say he disagrees 'profoundly' with Rowlingâs views.
He narrated the audiobooks for the whole Harry Potter series and said he was 'sorry' about his rift with Rowling over the issue.
Fry told The Show People podcast last week that he previously enjoyed Rowlingâs company but said her gender critical views had 'completely altered the way she talks and engages with the world now'."

The new Harry Potter show is upon us, and while there's debate as to how much JK Rowling is involved in the running of the show, the fact remains: it's her IP. It makes money, she makes money.
If you watch it, if you buy HP merch, if you visit the HP park attractions, if you make others curious to watch it, etc., you are funding this TERF's persecution of trans people.

"The actor Pedro Pascal has attacked author JK Rowling on X, calling her a âheinous loserâ.
Pascal responded to a comment reporting the words of activist Tariq Raâouf in an Instagram video, in which he urged people to boycott Rowlingâs work.
âIt has become our mission as the general public to make sure that every single thing thatâs Harry Potter related fails ⌠because that awful disgusting shit, that has consequences.â
"Nostalgic fury" -- Judith Butler (and the response to #JKRowling is gold): "I see a kind of restoration fantasy at play in many right-wing movements in the U.S. People want to go back to the idea of being a white country or the idea of the patriarchal family, the principle that marriages are for heterosexuals. I call it a nostalgic fury for an impossible past."
"On March 13, she responded to an anonymous X account that cited the Nazi book burning of transgender research and asking her why she supports anti-trans ideology in light of that information. Rowling responded by casting doubt on the userâs claim and suggesting they should have checked their sources."
"The Harry Potter author responded, misgendering Willoughby: âIndia didnât become a woman. India is cosplaying a misogynistic male fantasy of what a woman is.â"
"In response to the backlash, Rowling doubled down on her remarks, using the term âtrans-identified malesâ to mean trans women â once again misgendering trans women."
