Today we're sending the first black person & the first woman to the moon.

But I know that Dr. Mae Jemson was the first black woman to travel into space when she served as a mission specialist aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavour in 1992.

Also, Jemson became the first real-life astronaut to appear on
Here's Jemson as Lt. Palmer in episode Second Chances talking to Nichelle Nichols, Star Trek's Lt. Uhura, outside the set.

Dear friends, let's never forget the importance of self-care. Take time for yourself today - whether it's a walk in nature, a bubble bath, or simply some quiet time. You deserve it! @allstartrek

is best when it doesn't take its self too serious....
taking on serious topics, in a humorous and fun way.
But not all episodes were humorous, and not all episodes were serious.
I think there are more fun episodes that I remember thou.

In addition to 4 cups and a teapot, the original Bodum Bistro set ⬇️ also came with a sugar bowl, a creamer and 5 spoons. While the creamer only appears in 's "Remembrance"↗️, the spoons are seen in the latter and 's "Data's Day"↖️.

Here's a good look at the Nebula-class USS Phoenix, as seen from the front in 's "The Wounded". This ship, so similar yet different from my beloved Galaxy-class USS Enterprise-D, left a big impression on me when I first saw it in the early 90s.

The black octagonal Octime plates get their biggest moment in the episode "The Wounded"↗️ after they also appeared in a family video in "Future Imperfect"↖️ . On , they are also seen in Sisko's quarters in "Crossfire"↙️ and "Blaze of Glory"↘️.

Version 4 of the dress uniform (to the left of it are seen version 2 from "Manhunt" and version 3 from "Sarek") debuts in 's "Data's Day" during the O'Brien wedding (3rd pic). It is seen much better a few episodes later in "Qpid" (4th pic).

A totally amazing find at a yard sale yesterday - there has to be over 100 all of them for $10.00 U.S.

Each stack has at least 10 books, some stacks have more. There are 11 stacks - so at least 110.
I'd guess it's closer to 130ish. 10 Bucks!!!!

I will not need to buy any new books for a long long time.

I saw I didn't see any but that doesn't really mean anything.

Mostly I see a lot of books

Troi and Crusher need to be on that cover!

Don't let the cover design trick you into thinking this is a Worf novel that includes a lot of Romulans. He's got things to do and I love seeing him do these things. But it should have been Troi and Crusher on that cover.

Listened to it a second time over the weekend. A great book with clear A and B stories, that are not interwoven. It's set right before "All Good Things...". I love that the two main women in the TNG crew get to be center stage here.

The story around Crusher, Riker, and Data is very cool. They face some unusual events on a new planet and it's fascinating to follow them figuring out what they are. Crusher has a very crucial role in that and that's so good to see. Love her scene with Data at the end.

The story around Troi, Worf, …
