Friends!

Six weeks to the day when I first cast this on, and I’m happy to tell you that the double scarf is complete!

This has been such a fun, and very challenging, project to make, at times feeling like it was never going to end.

I decided to make it fully, including the beads and I also added a fringe because every scarf needs a fringe if you ask me!

This is a surprise Christmas gift for a very close friend who’s a huge fan, I can’t wait to see the look on his face when he gets it!

I’m going to take a break from knitting now for this month, but there’s lots of other fun stuff lined up for next year.

Some stats for nerds:

I finally changed my name on Mastodon, and thus, making this post again.

Hi, friends!

I'm an author, and I've been published in Uncanny Magazine, Chicks Unravel Time, Chicks Dig Comics, and Outside In Gains a Soul. I read a lot and review books. 📚

I am currently working on my 3rd novel, a monster romance between a plant woman and a botanist. Pitching my first two novels, which are contemporary queer fiction. I write a free-to-subscribe newsletter with book reviews, planty updates, and queer ponderings: http://eepurl.com/bdZrHb

I'm very #queer, specifically #bisexual and #trans masc nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them or he/him. I want to celebrate queer joy and all the other aspects of our lives. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

1/12 From where did the inspiration for your current WIP come?

Okay, actually there's a third WIP. And the inspiration for that came from Star Trek!

It's called 'Like a Balloon and Something Bad Happens - Or, There's Always an Analogy in Star Trek; a Trekkie’s Guide to Life, The Universe, and Everything*' and it is my love letter to Trek, Futurama, and all my fellow nerdlingers!

I know I'm late to the party, but as my Disney+ subscription is nearly over, I finally watched The Orville. I. Fracking. Loved. It.

It started out funny, and ended sweet and deep and tackling real life issues in a way Seth McFarland does so well.

Highly encouraged to watch if you like SciFi/Star Trek/Star Wars, as Seth pays homage to all of them.
