I feel like there's not a lot I can write about this one without dropping too many spoilers. What I can say for sure is that I thought the themes of #belonging and #impermanence were conveyed extremely well here. The writing was similarly strong to A Closed and Common Orbit, with a few more perspective characters.

Within the introduction and roughly half of the first chapter, it's already among the most welcoming-feeling presentations of #interdependence / #interbeing / #emptiness (here presented as #belonging with good reason) I've ever come across. Also one of the better self-narrations I've heard in a while. Looking forward to how the rest of the book develops

I breathed in all the green around me today as if it was air. I paddled in the mountain stream and felt the cool, clear water. My ears were filled with birdsong and the rustling of leaves. I feel the deepest of connections to this place where I've lived all my life. I know it and I feel it knows me.
