This was my introduction to de Lint, and it's still the book I associate most with his name. It drew me into his world so completely that he is one of the authors whose books I purchase without knowing a single thing about the story or others' reviews.
I love de Lint's blending of engaging stories about people like you or me with elements of fairy and magic. This book goes the extra step of adding an artistic element to the mix.
I think I can read this book over and over and come away with something new each time.
