The blurb on the front cover says this is a "chilling ghost story". This is a lie. It's a ghost story, but it's a moving one, and if you come to this book looking for suspense, you will be disappointed.
Oliver's remarkable and masterful tale of secrets, hurt and regrets tell the story of a family returning to their old house to bury their ex-husband and father, and learn that they must face their ghosts - metaphorical and literal - which still haunt it.
