I'm on the fence on this one. I like the story and the characters are growing on me, but I was pleased with the movement from Owen, the child, to Owen, the adult. You got to dump much of the young angst that accompanied the younger Owen...now with Trynne it's all back. I was hoping that maybe the years would progress similarly as it did in the previous 3 books, but there's a definitive timeline established in this book. It is very much something I'm not 100% pleased about...I would still recommend these stories to a young reader though, just not what I was expecting and feels like a step back in character presentation from the rest of the series.
