I've never been a big fan of the Rincewind storyline, but this book was... well, it wasn't really funny. And while there are quite a few Pratchett books that aren't laugh out loud funny, they're usually at least clever, and make you think about things. But this book didn't even do that. Frankly, I don't even get the point of it. Maybe I'm missing something, I don't know. But if I hadn't skipped this book previously, it might have convinced me to call quits on the Discworld. Luckily, I did skip it. I could've just left it unread, and no harm would come to anyone. No worries.
On a side note, gawd, I have no idea how long I've had this book before I finally got around to reading it. Probably something like 15 years or so. So that's an achievement.
