Don’t want to say too much about this one, as it could easily be spoiled. In short, while the science is likely laughable, the story was engaging and a lot of fun. This is a perfect airplane book - entertaining and fast-paced.
An excellent book in its own right and a great addition to the mythos of the Threshold series. I love the main character, almost the perfect protagonist for me to view this world through.
Struggled over rating this book. Where I did enjoy it and it was very captivating, I kept getting lost in the holes (or between the fold...if you will). Where there's no real science behind the events, that wasn't the issue. In 14, Clines allows you to overlook that by providing history into Lovecraft, Tesla, etc. The Fold has none of that, then there is an expectation of commonality between this and 14, but I kept getting like the details were off. Those struggles kept me from enjoying the book as much as I could have. But still fun read.
