The intrigue progresses with this 3rd book.
Pacing is really different from the previous book. Mostly for the better.
Big deception because there is not much new about furycrafting or the other species magic system. I'm still fuzzy about the geography and how things work in the Aleran society.

I've been in the fence with this series. They've been good, but not gripping. That changed with this book. This one has everything I was expecting with this series and more. You learn so much more about why some people are the way they are and more on the quality of people. It was a truly gripping read.
