Good start to a new story arc
When Humans and Faerie mix in Hailey Edwards' "Black Dog" universe, trouble is never far away. "Promise the Moon" is the first book in a new story arc focusing on the wargs (werewolves) of the Lorimar Pack, which we first met in her Gemini series. The mysteries are nicely set up and the outcome is unexpected. One thing I enjoy about Edwards' writing is that her books give you enough clues about the mysteries at their heart that they make sense when the revelation comes, without giving so much information that you can guess where the story is going before it gets there. The romance angle of her books tends to be somewhat more predictable, but there are still plenty of twists and turns on the way there.
