When I read this book back in 2004 what made it especially strange is that it showed up in my mailbox in a manilla envelope with no return address. I still do not know who sent this book to me to this day. When first looking at it I chuckled because it was obviously a joke, but then as I read it I found it even more humorous because it was obvious that Max Brooks had spent quite a lot of time thinking about the subject. I am not sure everyone would appreciate the dry humor of the book, but I did and I do. For those that do not keep up on zombie literature, I often find it fun to show them the book. I have it proudly displayed on my desk at home so that there can be no doubt that I am prepared, although not as prepared …
