Now I know that the New Testament got it all wrong! There were twin brothers born on December 25th on year Zero. One was called Jesus, the other Christ. That we bundled them both into one person was our own fault. With a little help from the Church, which Christ helped establish, to honor his crucified brother Jesus.

It’s a witty satire I enjoyed immensely, with all the “miracles” Jesus performed on his voyage from birth to the cross, explained in layman terms. If the Bible was written like this, it would be a fun read.

The author masterfully tackled everything wrong with the Catholic Church—as Jesus vehemently opposes the establishment of the Church as an institution, he cites as a prediction all that is (going to be) wrong with it: corruption, greed, power-grab, manipulation of people, politics and history.
