I suppose every favorite author has to have a worst book, and I've found Moore's.
When I started the book, I was excited to be reading a new Moore. About a quarter of the way through, that excitement was rapidly wearing off. At the halfway point, I was so uninterested that I would've stopped reading if it hadn't been written by one of my favorites. I don't know if it's based on Shakespeare's King Lear or if it just uses the characters or if it's somewhere in between. More importantly, I don't care. For me, that says a lot.
I'm pretty sure I spotted Moore an entire star just because of the rest of his body of work.
Nevertheless, I am very much looking forward to reading Bite Me--not just as a palate cleanser but... yeah.
