A.J. Fikry's life is not what he expected it to be. His wife has died, his bookstore is failing, and his prized possession, a rare collection of Poe poems, has been stolen. He is isolating himself from all the people of Alice Island and from Amelia, the Knightley Press sales rep who refuses to be deterred by A.J.'s bad attitude. Surprisingly disappointed by this one. It was fine, just nothing special and the ending fully pissed me off. I wanted more about the bookstore and less...sentimentality, I guess.
This book was so captivating. The characters are really well developed and the plot moves along quite well. Unexpectedly solid read - highly recommended.

This is a story that remind us there're uncalculated paths crossed our way in life, but still, it is our decision to choose whether to walk on it or to walk away.

I loved everything about this book. This is a story that will stay with you for a long time if not forever. It was such a pleasure to read, very smooth writing and I was never bored. I highly recommend!
