An interesting seafaring adventure in Roshar

I've been re-reading The Stormlight Archive to prepare for the upcoming novel and had missed this one. It's quite fun and very intriguing on what it reveals, both for Roshar and the Cosmere.

Goodreads Review of Dawnshard by Brandon Sanderson

Is it heresy to say that this is probably my favorite installment in the Stormlight series so far? After an accident, Rysn lost the use of her legs, but eager to dive into her new trade, and with a gifted ship and crew, she is eager to take up an assignment from the queen of the Alethi herself who asks her to take a ship to an isolated, mythical island to excavate for treasure. This is fortuitous for Rysn, as her …

Review of 'Dawnshard' on 'Goodreads'

3.8 stars ;)
Cosmere revelations are always nice. So now, after the 16 shards of Adonalsium, we have the 4 Dawnshards. Well, there's one in this novel, with more questions attached than revelations.
The writing seems a bit harsh, speedy. But looking back, there is also not much happening. Maybe that's because many characters are introduced in other books. That would kickstart the storytelling. There is not much recap too.
Good read. I wanted to get to it before Stormlight Archive 4. I'm still a bit lost by some details because I haven't read from this series since some time.
