Fairly disappointed in this read. The writing was nicely done, but it took so long to get anywhere and then when it did, it wasn't clear or very enticing. At one point, I was more excited to hear what the lawyers had uncovered than I was know what was happening to Jess.
It was a hard subject to put your arms around layered on top of a hard scene of a women's prison. I felt it really had a hard time meshing the two together that wasn't jarring. I also felt there was a lack of logic in a number of the inmates...maybe that's on me, but it felt decisions were outside of what the character should have logically proceeded to.
