Chuck Palahniuk: Damned (Damned, #1) (2011) No rating

Damned is a 2011 novel by Chuck Palahniuk. A sequel to the novel, Doomed, was …

Ian Culbard: Oscar Wilde's The picture of Dorian Gray (2008, Sterling Pub.)

Kind of a drag. Frequently witty, but mostly felt like a lot of missed opportunities. I do appreciate it for what it is though. The subtext in this almost feels like it's in neon it's so hard to miss.

I started this after a binge/hyper-focus on the Universal Monsters franchise, and particularly enjoyed the Frankenstein movies. The book is (literally) an entirely different monster. Surprisingly little of what is in the movies are in this book. I very much do not regret picking it up.
