Review of 'The punch escrow' on 'Goodreads'

Unfortunately for me, I watched the late 90s outer limits episode “think like a dinosaur” and figured out the punch escrow quickly before it was revealed, so it felt a little plodding to get to the point where the narrator figured it out.
It wasn’t a terrible book but other than that idea I didn’t really feel for it one way or the other. Didn’t care about the main character, the two warring religious factions and the evil corporate overlords weren’t all that warring or evil. Just seemed to be filling their role and to have the bad guy undone by monologuing a la the incredibles was just silly
I’m guessing the sorta cliffhanger ending was the hope for bringing another book, but maybe not
Hence my middle of the road review.
