This book was in some ways mind-blowing. Beck does a compelling job of tying together purity, cleanliness, and death. He argues that we unconsciously make other humans less than human because of their moral decisions or their standing, and that in many ways we are functionally ambivalent about the incarnation of Jesus. I will need to go back to this book in the future; it was very challenging.
