The ultimate geek-out.

After a few so-so books in a row, decided to take some friends recommendations as give "RP1" a try.

While taking place in the future, with technologies we can only imagine today, RP1 is a throwback to the 1980s, this book is chalk full of references to the best and worst of the decade of my childhood: music, movies, TV shows, authors, fashion, and of course, video games. At the same time, it's a warning to us about taking care of our planet, about the power of corporations, and living in the real world - not just online.

Protip: If this book isn't geeky enough for you as it is, the audiobook on Audible is narrated by Wil Wheaton.

Didn't enjoy this as much as the originals three, although possibly because I took forever to read it. I found it a really slow start, getting back into remembering all the characters again. Still, if you read the rest of the series, it's a good story.

This one didn't resonate with me as much as other John Grisham novels. Still, the different cases being told were interesting, and there was some good deprecating humour that I enjoyed. I was just hoping for a book that I couldn't put down, and this one wasn't it.

I like the premise of Embassy Row, but found this particular story wasn't as captivating as other thrillers (YA or otherwise) that I've read.

Great read! Provides a great history behind SpaceX, Tesla, and SolarCity, as well as Elon's history with Zip2 and PayPal. A peek into the mind of a visionary who's putting everything into the projects he believes in.

A great ending to the trilogy. Fast read - read it cover to cover in an evening.

Unfortunately with enough of a cliffhanger that I'm sure FOX will ruin it by extending the story out into a multiple season run on TV, with at least one cancellation in there somewhere.
