Mr Cawdron has written a large series of stand-alone stories that reflect how humanity would deal with various first-contact situations and this may be my favorite. In this story, an unknown craft is headed into the solar system on a course to park near us and Earth springs into action to try and deal with this unique event. But like you would expect, humans seldom all come together to focus on a single-minded plan to greet our visitors. The story is incredible and exemplifies the challenges we will face if and when we encounter our first contact. I definitely recommend if you have any interest in the science and drama of Earth's first contact scenario.
